Primary Responsibilities :

1. Project Execution

  • Execute and supervise Railway General Electrical projects.
  • Ensure timely completion of project activities as per approved schedules.
  • Monitor site execution and maintain quality standards.

2. Installation & Commissioning

  • Handle installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Railway electrical specifications and standards.
  • Resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning.

3. Planning & Coordination

  • Plan daily and weekly project activities.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.

4. BOQ & Documentation

  • Prepare and review BOQs, estimates, work schedules, and project documentation.
  • Maintain Measurement Books (MB), billing documents, and client approvals.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

5. Material & Resource Management

  • Plan and monitor material requirements.
  • Conduct material inspection and reconciliation.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, equipment, and resources.

6. Quality & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with Railway safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections and maintain project quality documentation.
  • Implement corrective actions wherever required.

7. Client & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with Railway authorities, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Attend project review meetings.
  • Ensure smooth communication between stakeholders.

8. Team Management

  • Supervise site engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Allocate work and monitor productivity.
  • Guide junior engineers and resolve technical challenges.
Experience Requirements:

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering OR
  • B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Experience

  • 2–10 years of experience in Railway General Electrical projects.
