General Practitioner duties and responsibilities

Respond to patients' medical/health problems by referring to their history and carrying out diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate
Discuss side-effects, best conditions for use, and possible interactions of medication
Contribute to the delivery of patient services with nurses, technicians, and other medical staff
Collect, record and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports and examination results
Supervise and train medical students
Participate in research studies commissioned by the hospital board
Accommodate rotating shifts and work flexible schedules

Educational Qualifications:
- Medical degree from a recognized university.
- Completion of a relevant internship or residency program.
Licensure:
- Valid medical license to practice as a General Practitioner in Cambodia.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in primary care or general medicine.
Clinical Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and treatment skills for various medical conditions.
- Proficiency in performing routine medical procedures.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and their families.
- Ability to explain complex medical terms in simple language.
Compassion and Empathy:
- A strong sense of compassion and the ability to provide emotional support to patients.
Teamwork:
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Continuing Education:
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with medical advancements.
Languages:
- Proficiency in English is preferred; knowledge of local languages can be an advantage.
IT Skills:
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
