Job Title: Business Development Manager – Interiors

Location: Pune
Experience Required: 4–8+ Years
Salary Range: ₹10 LPA – ₹18 LPA (Based on experience & performance)

Position Summary

The Business Development Manager – Interiors will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and building strategic relationships across the Indian interiors market, including offices and institutional projects.

The role requires a results-driven professional with strong industry connections and the ability to convert opportunities into long-term business partnerships.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or related field.

MBA preferred.

4–8+ years of proven experience in business development or sales within the interiors, furniture, materials, fittings, or construction products industry.

Strong network with interior designers, architects, developers, contractors, and/or distributors is highly desirable.

Experience handling B2B project sales is mandatory.

Skills & Competencies

Strong sales acumen with proven negotiation and closing abilities.

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

In-depth knowledge of the Indian interiors ecosystem, procurement cycles, project timelines, and pricing dynamics.

Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office; comfortable preparing commercial proposals and basic financial analysis.

Ability to travel extensively and work independently.

Results-oriented self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Multilingual ability (English + regional language) is an advantage.

Quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets.

Number of new accounts opened and strategic partnerships secured.

Lead-to-conversion ratio and average deal size.

Pipeline value and forecast accuracy.

Experience Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute territory/national business development strategies to meet or exceed revenue, margin, and market share targets.

Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across segments such as interior design firms, architects, contractors, developers, retail showrooms, and distributors.

Manage and grow relationships with key accounts and channel partners; negotiate commercial terms and long-term agreements.

Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline; utilize CRM tools to track leads, proposals, and forecasts.

Collaborate with product, design, operations, and marketing teams to tailor solutions based on client requirements.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, pricing insights, product gaps, and growth opportunities.

Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client presentations; deliver product demonstrations and technical briefings as required.

Prepare proposals, RFP responses, and commercial presentations; ensure timely follow-ups and contract closures.

Monitor project execution during handover; ensure customer satisfaction and coordinate post-sales support.

Report performance against KPIs and provide regular market feedback to leadership.
