Position: General Manager

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven General Manager to lead and manage insurance brokerage operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both retail and corporate insurance, with proven leadership in driving revenue growth, managing P&L responsibilities, and building scalable business operations.
This role requires a hands-on leader capable of executing strategic initiatives, managing sales-driven teams, improving operational efficiency, and delivering measurable business results.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on insurance brokerage leader with strong industry knowledge and leadership capabilities. The individual should have experience managing brokerage operations, driving sales performance, optimizing profitability, and leading operational transformation.
The candidate must be able to execute strategies quickly, manage teams effectively, and drive measurable business outcomes.
Education & Professional Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.
Professional Certifications
Cert CII (Chartered Insurance Institute – UK) or equivalent – Mandatory
ACII certification – Strongly preferred
Additional professional development in insurance, brokerage operations, sales leadership, or digital distribution is an advantage.
Specialized Insurance Knowledge (Mandatory)
Retail Insurance Expertise
Strong hands-on knowledge of retail insurance brokerage operations including:
Motor insurance
Medical insurance
Personal lines
SME retail insurance products
Pricing strategies
Insurer negotiations and placements
Commission structures
Policy renewals and client retention
Corporate Insurance Expertise
Strong knowledge of corporate insurance placements including:
Commercial lines insurance
SME and corporate risk placements

Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge
Strong understanding of insurance broker regulations and compliance frameworks
Experience with GCC or Bahrain regulatory environments is preferred.

Digital Insurance Knowledge
Practical understanding of digital insurance distribution including:
Insurance aggregator platforms
Online insurance sales journeys

Minimum 5 years of senior management experience within an insurance brokerage.
