Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compliance-focused Taxation Executive to manage indirect tax compliances, GST and TDS returns, reconciliations, audits, and assessments. The role requires strong knowledge of Balance Sheet and P&L items, hands-on experience in GST filings, and the ability to coordinate effectively during audits and litigation matters.

 

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in Taxation, GST, or Finance roles.

Technical Knowledge: Strong grasp of GST laws, TDS provisions, and indirect tax frameworks.

Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to manage deadlines independently.

Proficiency: Practical experience with GST/TDS portals and a solid understanding of financial statements.

Experience Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

1. Tax Compliance & Review

Verify all financial transactions for Indirect Tax (GST & TDS) compliance.

Ensure accurate accounting and classification of tax-related entries in the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account.

Cross-verify tax applicability and rates on vendor invoices and business expenses.

2. GST Management & Filings

Prepare and file monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and annual returns (GSTR-9 & GSTR-9C) within statutory timelines.

Track and reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC) with GSTR-2B; identify mismatches and follow up with vendors for resolution.

Perform monthly reconciliations between financial books, filed returns, and portal data.

3. TDS Compliance

Calculate TDS/GST payable as per applicable laws.

Independently prepare and file quarterly TDS returns.

Ensure timely deduction, payment, and reconciliation of all TDS-related liabilities.

4. Assessments, Notices & Litigation

Handle GST scrutiny, assessment notices, and departmental queries.

Assist in the preparation of replies and documentation for litigation matters and coordination with authorities.

5. Audit Support & Reporting

Prepare and submit data for statutory and tax audits; maintain robust working papers.

Coordinate with auditors and consultants to ensure smooth audit completion.

Prepare MIS reports regarding GST, TDS, and overall compliance status for management.
