Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled HVAC Engineer to oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will ensure that all HVAC systems are energy-efficient, meet safety standards, and are executed within project timelines and budgets.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Education:
Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in HVAC design, site execution, or facility management.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and HVAC load calculation software (e.g., HAP).
Strong knowledge of VRF, Chillers, AHUs, and Ventilation systems.
Familiarity with project management and billing (BoQ preparation).
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to handle clients and site workers.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Planning
Calculate heating and cooling loads to determine equipment requirements.
Design HVAC system layouts, including ductwork, piping, and equipment placement using AutoCAD or specialized software.
Select appropriate equipment (Chillers, AHUs, VRFs, Split units) based on project specifications.
2. Project Execution & Site Supervision
Supervise on-site installation of HVAC systems to ensure compliance with design drawings and safety codes.
Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and electrical contractors to ensure seamless integration of systems.
Manage labor and sub-contractors to maintain project schedules.
3. Quality Control & Testing
Conduct commissioning and testing of systems (Air balancing, water balancing, and pressure testing).
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues during the installation or operational phase.
Ensure all work adheres to National Building Codes (NBC) and ASHRAE standards.
4. Maintenance & Service
Develop preventive maintenance schedules for existing HVAC installations.
Respond to breakdown calls and manage repairs or replacements efficiently.
