Job Title: Manager – Products (Industrial Equipment)
Location: Ahmedabad (Requires extensive travel)
Reporting To: Regional Head / Sales Director
Experience: 8–10 Years
CTC: Fixed + High-Performance Incentives (Linked to Booking & Margins)
1. Role Summary
The Manager Products will lead a high-performing sales team to drive market penetration for industrial equipment. This is a strategic-cum-tactical role where you will define sales strategies, control pricing integrity, and ensure that the team meets both volume and profitability targets.
3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Revenue Target: 100% achievement of team order booking targets.
Pipeline Coverage: Maintaining a healthy 3x to 4x lead pipeline relative to targets.
Margin Integrity: Ensuring team sales fall within approved discount brackets to protect company margins.
Retention & Growth: Managing team performance and minimizing attrition within the Sales Engineering group.
4. Candidate Profile
Experience & Education:
Education: BE Mechanical (Mandatory).
Experience: 8–10 years in B2B Industrial Sales or Industrial Equipment.
Industry Background: Preference for candidates from Capital Goods, Heavy Machinery, or Industrial Component manufacturing.
Technical & Behavioral Skills:
Technical Depth: Ability to understand and explain complex mechanical equipment specifications.
Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L, pricing strategies, and incentive structures.
Leadership: Proven track record of managing a field sales team.
Communication: Multilingual proficiency (Gujarati, Hindi, English) is highly preferred for the Ahmedabad/Gujarat market.

Sales Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor a team of Sales Engineers to achieve individual and collective targets.
Conduct weekly performance reviews and MIS audits to ensure data-driven decision-making.
Identify training gaps within the team and facilitate technical/sales skill development.
Strategic Sales & Margin Control
Define and implement pricing and discount strategies to stay competitive while protecting net margins.
Oversee pipeline health, focusing on lead conversion ratios and sales cycle shortening.
Directly support the team in closing high-value "key deals" through technical expertise and negotiation.
Field Engagement & Market Expansion
Maintain a "Traveling Profile" to meet key B2B industrial clients across the territory.
Identify new market segments and industrial applications for the product portfolio.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers in the industrial sector.
