Application Engineer – Pre-Sales & Project Coordination

Job Summary
We are seeking a technically strong and commercially aware Application Engineer who will play a critical role across the complete project lifecycle — from solution design and proposal preparation to post-sales execution, OEM coordination, procurement, and supply chain management.
The ideal candidate should possess strong techno-commercial understanding, proposal management experience, and the ability to coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Application Engineering
Understand client requirements, tender specifications, and BOQs
Prepare technical and commercial proposals aligned with project requirements
Develop system designs and solution architecture for:
BTU meters
Water meters
Smart valves
IoT-based monitoring systems
Billing and monitoring platforms
Prepare technical submittals, compliance sheets, and datasheets
Support client presentations, technical discussions, and product demonstrations
Commercial & Proposal Management
Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing strategies
Coordinate internally to ensure competitive and compliant bid submissions
Evaluate vendor and OEM quotations to optimize cost structures
Identify commercial risks and suggest mitigation strategies
Post-Sales Execution & Coordination
Lead commercial negotiations with OEMs and suppliers
Manage procurement planning as per project timelines
Coordinate order placements, follow-ups, and delivery schedules
Handle logistics coordination including shipping timelines, transportation modes, and cost optimization
Monitor and manage inventory and stock levels for ongoing and upcoming projects
Project Support
Ensure smooth handover from sales to execution teams
Support project teams with technical clarifications and required documentation
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors for approvals and updates
Assist in resolving technical and commercial issues during project execution
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong techno-commercial acumen
Experience in proposal preparation and project costing
Knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, or district cooling preferred
Familiarity with smart metering and IoT-based solutions
Understanding of supply chain, logistics, and inventory management
Vendor and OEM negotiation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Technical Skills
Proficiency in MS Excel (Mandatory)
Knowledge of AutoCAD (Preferred)
Experience with technical documentation and reporting tools
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation or related field)
Additional certifications in project management or HVAC systems will be an advantage
Experience Required
Relevant experience in application engineering, pre-sales, proposal management, or project coordination preferred
