Primary Responsibilities :
1. Computer Systems & End-User Support
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, workstations, and peripheral devices.
• Install and upgrade operating systems, application software, drivers, and business applications.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, operating system issues, and software-related problems.
• Configure user accounts, passwords, email access, and system permissions.
• Provide first-level and second-level technical support to employees for IT-related issues.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues including slow computers, application crashes, and connectivity problems.
• Maintain antivirus protection, endpoint security, and perform regular system health checks.
• Ensure timely Windows updates, security patches, and software upgrades.
• Configure and support Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, and shared folders.
• Maintain backup procedures for desktops, laptops, and important company data.
• Monitor system security and prevent unauthorized access to company systems.
• Maintain records of IT assets, software licenses, warranties, and equipment allocation.
• Coordinate with users regarding system upgrades, troubleshooting, and technical guidance.
• Provide support during employee onboarding and offboarding activities.
2. Network Administration & Infrastructure
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, structured cabling, patch panels, and Wi-Fi access points.
• Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and internet connectivity.
• Troubleshoot network interruptions, packet loss, slow connectivity, and hardware failures.
• Configure IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and network sharing.
• Ensure stable connectivity between office, factory, warehouse, and accommodation locations.
• Monitor network uptime and ensure minimum downtime of critical systems.
• Coordinate with internet service providers (ISPs) regarding connectivity issues and upgrades.
• Perform preventive maintenance of network equipment and communication systems.
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration backups, and infrastructure documentation.
• Implement basic network security measures to prevent unauthorized access.
3. Firewall & Cybersecurity Management
• Configure, monitor, and maintain firewall devices and security appliances.
• Create and manage firewall rules, access control policies, NAT rules, and bandwidth controls.
• Implement VPN access for remote users and branch connectivity.
• Monitor firewall logs, network threats, and suspicious activities.
• Perform firmware upgrades, security patches, and vulnerability updates.
• Ensure protection against malware, ransomware, phishing attacks, and cyber threats.
• Coordinate with vendors and cybersecurity service providers for advanced configurations and support.
• Conduct periodic security checks and recommend improvements for system protection.
• Maintain backup configurations of firewall and network security devices.
• Generate periodic security reports and submit observations to management.
• Ensure compliance with company IT security policies and procedures.
4. CCTV & Surveillance System Management
• Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and surveillance systems.
• Monitor camera functionality, recording status, and storage availability.
• Troubleshoot camera disconnections, recording failures, and remote access issues.
• Configure user permissions and secure remote monitoring access.
• Coordinate installation of new cameras and surveillance expansions.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of surveillance systems.
• Maintain backup of surveillance recordings when required for investigations.
• Ensure uninterrupted operation of critical surveillance systems in production and warehouse areas.
5. Printers, Scanners & Peripheral Devices
• Install and configure network printers, scanners, barcode printers, and related peripherals.
• Troubleshoot printer connectivity, paper jams, driver issues, and print queue failures.
• Manage shared printer access and printer permissions for departments.
• Coordinate maintenance, repair, and replacement of printers and consumables.
• Monitor toner, cartridge, and spare parts inventory.
• Support scanning, document-sharing, and printing requirements across departments.
6. Intercom, EPABX & IP Telephony Systems
• Install, configure, and maintain EPABX systems, IP telephones, and intercom systems.
• Configure extensions, call routing, voicemail, and user settings.
• Troubleshoot communication failures, extension issues, and hardware faults.
• Coordinate with telecom service providers for line issues and upgrades.
• Maintain communication systems for office, factory, and accommodation facilities.
• Ensure uninterrupted internal communication systems across departments.
. Manufacturing Plant IT Support
• Provide IT support for production offices, warehouses, and factory operations.
• Ensure smooth operation of network connectivity within production areas.
• Support biometric devices, attendance systems, and access control systems.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams regarding IT requirements.
• Monitor uptime of systems critical to plant operations.
• Assist in implementation of industrial IT systems and automation support when required.
8. Documentation & Vendor Coordination
• Maintain proper documentation of all IT systems, network diagrams, configurations, passwords, and backup procedures.
• Keep records of hardware inventory, AMC contracts, licenses, and warranty details.
• Coordinate with external vendors for procurement, repairs, maintenance, and technical support.
• Obtain quotations and recommend suitable IT equipment and solutions.
• Monitor service provider performance and ensure timely issue resolution.
Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or system administration.
• Experience in manufacturing plant, industrial environment, or multi-site operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts.
• Knowledge of firewall configuration, VPN, CCTV systems, and IP telephony.
• Familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and basic server administration.
• Understanding of LAN/WAN infrastructure, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and structured cabling.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues independently.
