Primary Responsibilities :

Production Operations

  • Oversee milk reception, pasteurization, homogenization, chilling, refrigeration, and packaging operations.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, product consistency, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Optimize production parameters to improve productivity and minimize process losses.
  • Troubleshoot production-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure smooth operation of processing equipment.

Quality Control & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological testing of raw milk, intermediate products, and finished goods.
  • Ensure product quality meets company specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain quality records, laboratory reports, and inspection documentation.
  • Investigate quality deviations and implement preventive measures.
  • Monitor product shelf life, sensory attributes, and nutritional standards.

Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Implement and maintain food safety systems including FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
  • Manage Clean-In-Place (CIP) operations and plant hygiene programs.
  • Conduct internal audits and support external regulatory inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, and statutory requirements.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions arising from audit findings.

Research & Product Development

  • Support development and improvement of dairy products such as milk products, yogurt, cheese, butter, ice cream, and other value-added products.
  • Conduct product trials and evaluate process improvements.
  • Enhance product quality, taste, texture, nutritional value, and shelf life.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams for successful product launches.

Plant Operations & Documentation

  • Maintain production reports, quality records, batch records, and compliance documentation.
  • Monitor plant performance and recommend process optimization initiatives.
  • Analyze production data and generate operational reports for management review.
  • Ensure proper inventory control of production consumables and laboratory materials.

Team Management & Training

  • Train production operators and plant personnel on SOPs, hygiene practices, quality standards, and workplace safety.
  • Supervise production staff and ensure adherence to operational procedures.
  • Promote a culture of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve production and quality objectives.
Experience Requirements:
  • B.Tech in Dairy Technology from a recognized university.
  • 5–6 years of relevant experience in dairy manufacturing and processing operations.
  • Experience working with reputed dairy companies such as Amul, Mother Dairy, Red Cow, Hatsun, Parag, or similar organizations.
  • Hands-on experience in dairy processing technologies and plant operations.
  • Strong expertise in quality assurance, laboratory testing, and food safety systems.
  • Thorough understanding of FSSAI regulations, GMP, HACCP, and quality management systems.
  • Experience handling CIP systems, sanitation programs, and hygiene compliance.
  • Knowledge of dairy product manufacturing including milk, yogurt, cheese, butter, and ice cream.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment.
