Primary Responsibilities :
Market Development & Business Growth
- Drive export sales growth across assigned African markets.
- Identify, appoint, and manage distributors and channel partners.
- Develop market entry strategies, pricing models, and annual sales plans.
- Explore new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
- Conduct regular market visits to strengthen business relationships and evaluate market performance.
Distributor & Customer Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts.
- Monitor sales performance, inventory levels, and order fulfillment.
- Support distributors with sales training, merchandising, and promotional activities.
- Ensure effective implementation of sales strategies and market activation plans.
Commercial & Sales Execution
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and market performance reports.
- Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market intelligence.
- Coordinate with marketing teams for product launches, promotional campaigns, and branding initiatives.
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and export documentation.
Export Compliance
- Ensure compliance with export regulations, documentation, and country-specific import requirements.
- Monitor product registrations, labeling requirements, and trade regulations.
- Stay updated on customs duties, currency fluctuations, and market policies.
Team Leadership
- Lead, recruit, train, and mentor the export sales team.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to improve sales effectiveness.
- Build a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.
Experience Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field.
- MBA will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–8 years of Export Sales experience.
- Proven experience handling African markets.
- FMCG, Food Products, Snacks, or Consumer Goods industry experience preferred.
- Strong distributor and channel management experience.
