Primary Responsibilities :

Market Development & Business Growth

  • Drive export sales growth across assigned African markets.
  • Identify, appoint, and manage distributors and channel partners.
  • Develop market entry strategies, pricing models, and annual sales plans.
  • Explore new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
  • Conduct regular market visits to strengthen business relationships and evaluate market performance.

Distributor & Customer Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts.
  • Monitor sales performance, inventory levels, and order fulfillment.
  • Support distributors with sales training, merchandising, and promotional activities.
  • Ensure effective implementation of sales strategies and market activation plans.

Commercial & Sales Execution

  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and market performance reports.
  • Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market intelligence.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams for product launches, promotional campaigns, and branding initiatives.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and export documentation.

Export Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with export regulations, documentation, and country-specific import requirements.
  • Monitor product registrations, labeling requirements, and trade regulations.
  • Stay updated on customs duties, currency fluctuations, and market policies.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, recruit, train, and mentor the export sales team.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Build a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.
Experience Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field.
  • MBA will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • 5–8 years of Export Sales experience.
  • Proven experience handling African markets.
  • FMCG, Food Products, Snacks, or Consumer Goods industry experience preferred.
  • Strong distributor and channel management experience.
