Responsibilities for Pet Groomer
- Clean the pet's teeth
- Maintain an upbeat attitude
- Calm an anxious pet
- Ensure company policies are being followed
- Communicate effectively with clients to find out what they need
- Shampoo and wash a pet's hair or fur
- Create a welcoming environment for dogs and their owners
- Cut or shave a pet's hair or fur
Qualifications for Pet Groomer
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work with other groomers
- Ability to lift pets that weigh up to 50 pounds
- Grooming abilities
- Calming presence to sooth pet
- Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
- Ability to pass a background check
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work on a team
